Memorial Donation

When a loved one leaves us, it signifies a painful loss for those left behind. Yet, in their grief, many relatives wish to remember those in need of support. Therefore, as part of a funeral, they kindly request donations instead of flowers or wreaths. This act not only offers comfort but also symbolizes a celebration of life.

Please mention our donation appeal in your obituary and provide our banking details along with a suitable reference such as "In memory of First Name Last Name".

Tax Deductibility of Donations

In Germany, donations are generally tax-deductible as special expenses. According to the legislator, a simplified proof, such as a printed confirmation of the booking or a bank statement, is sufficient for donations up to 300 Euro.

For donations exceeding 300 Euro, as a recognized charitable organization, we can issue a donation receipt (Zuwendungsbestätigung) for the tax office upon request.

International Donations

For donors from other countries, the tax deductibility of donations depends on the tax laws of your respective country.

European Union: In many EU countries, donations to foreign charitable organizations may also be tax-deductible. Please check with your local tax authority or a tax advisor for specific regulations.

United States: U.S. donors may be able to make tax-deductible donations through a U.S.-based partner organization. Please contact us for more information on how to proceed.

Other Countries: For donors from other countries, the rules vary significantly. We recommend consulting with your local tax authority or a tax advisor to determine whether your donation to our organization is tax-deductible.

If you require a donation receipt for tax purposes, please provide us with your full name, address, and the donation amount. We will be happy to issue a donation receipt and send it to you.

Thank you for your support and generosity. Your donation helps us continue our projects to support the local community in East Greenland.
